CHICAGO - ShipBob, a technology company that streamlines fulfillment by bringing next-day and two-day shipping to ecommerce businesses, today announced the hiring of Todd Bills as their Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Chris McDonough as their Vice President of Order Fulfillment and Sean Bellucci as their General Manager of ShipBob’s Chicago fulfillment center.

Bills comes to ShipBob with over 25 years of experience in supply chain and operations with a focus on ecommerce, with the past 10 years at Fortune 500, Fortune 50 and privately held companies. His most recent role was Associate Director at Wayfair where he managed their entire middle mile network, including seven different fulfillment centers, handling all operations from manufacturers to home delivery. In the approximately two years Bills spent at Wayfair he saw the business double in size, managing twice the volume of shipments than when he started.

Bills will help address the question, “How do we deliver an even better daily experience to our customers?” His role will be in helping plan appropriately for ShipBob’s growth and transform their business model to stay competitive in a saturated market. He will focus on expanding ShipBob’s supply chain by improving the operational processes within current fulfillment centers and introducing new technology and automation to make ShipBob’s supply chain world class.

“Adding Todd to the team was a crucial hire for our company, especially given his recent role at Wayfair,” said Divey Gulati, ShipBob co-founder. “He is going to play an instrumental role as we continue to grow into a more mature company by helping to scale our business appropriately.”

“I’m excited to be a part of a company that is expanding tremendously fast and has an enormous amount of potential,” said Bills. “I look forward to helping ShipBob improve their supply chain efficiency, and it doesn’t hurt that ShipBob has an appealing culture both internally and a special kind of synergy with its customers.”

McDonough joins the Shipbob team with over 25 years experience in logistics and fulfillment operations. He has led organizations and teams within Wayfair, Petco, Home Depot Expo and Kmart/Sears. Most recently at Wayfair, McDonough was the Director of Operations for the South. There, he opened three separate facilities over 1 million square feet each, standardized fulfillment SOPs for small parcels, established the network-leading metrics for each of his buildings and developed processes that scaled the business.

McDonough will be responsible for all of ShipBob’s fulfillment center operations, driving operational cadences, KPIs, people operations and order processing. He will also help build out new sites to better serve ShipBob’s clients and ensure consistent operations in all facilities.

“Chris has been instrumental in setting up fulfillment center networks at companies that went from a startup to a major retailer and helped lead the transformation of supply chain networks,” said Gulati. “We are confident that he will align teams and ensure we deliver excellence daily to our customers.”

“With ShipBob, I’m excited to get into the business on the ground floor, drive operational decisions and apply learnings from all of my past roles to make for a smoother scalability as we grow the business,” said McDonough.

Bellucci joins ShipBob from Ulta Beauty Supply, where he led their Supply Chain Network process improvement teams, along with leading buildings in the GM role during his tenure. At Petco, he helped improve the efficiencies of the fulfillment network while in the GM role and led teams of over 500 associates. He brings a wealth of experience in running fulfillment centers and leading teams.

These key hires come at a busy time for ShipBob. The company secured $40 million in Series C funding in September 2018 and continues to expand its capabilities.
