Two New York-based logistics companies rebrand as Sobel Network Shipping Co., Inc.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NEW YORK – Sobel Shipping Co., Inc. of New York has announced a merger with Network Brokers International, Inc., creating the newly-formed Sobel Network Shipping Co., Inc., providing international freight forwarding and Customs clearance services for US importers and exporters. The combined companies have over a hundred years of service to the trade. This merger brings together two incredibly talented leadership teams and their respective staffs.
Sobel Shipping Co., Inc. was founded in 1949 by Hyman Sobel. In 2015, Brian Wills purchased Sobel and the business has continued to grow steadily under Brian’s leadership. Network Brokers International, Inc., a woman-owned business, was founded in 1981 by sisters Judy and Trisha Kearney and has provided Customs clearance and international freight forwarding services.
Sobel Network Shipping Co., Inc. is bringing together two reputable companies that will offer a suite of end-to-end logistics services. Sobel Network Shipping Co., Inc. holds an FMC OTI license, is a member of IATA, is a TSA-registered Indirect Air Carrier and a nationally permitted Customs broker employing six highly experienced Customs brokers.
Brian Wills, President of the newly-formed Sobel Network Shipping Co., Inc. is looking excitedly to the future of the newly formed company. “I’ve been working for twenty three years in the New York market and Network Brokers has built a reputation that is well-respected and admired. Although competitors for years, I have been friends with Judy and Trisha and know the way they lead their employees and work on behalf of their customers is identical to how I have focused on leading Sobel. This merger will bring together two like-minded companies who have unlimited upward potential.”
Judy Kearney, President of Network Brokers International, Inc., shares the same view. “Our focus has always been providing hands-on personalized services to our clients. Brian and his team operate the same way. Combining our talents and resources will enable us to provide greater value and enhanced service to our clients.”
Sobel and Network will continue to operate from their current location at 100 N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre.
