Washington, DC – The Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee will hold a hearing next week to examine the U.S. role in maritime transportation in the Arctic. The Subcommittee will hear testimony from the United States Coast Guard, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), scientists, and policy experts.

The hearing of the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), is entitled, “Maritime Transportation in the Arctic: The U.S. Role.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
