Beijing will be the city hosting The International Air Cargo Association's 2006 Executive Conference and Annual General Meeting.

The events will take place in April, starting with the AGM on Sunday April 9th followed by the two-day Executive Conference. As with all TIACA events, the occasion provides a wealth of networking opportunities with industry colleagues, partners and suppliers.

Participants will be able to leverage the networking opportunities by using TIACA's One-on-One Meeting Scheduler. This allows delegates to go on-line to set appointments ahead of the event to meet other attendees in Beijing. Meetings will take place at half-hour intervals in a dedicated meeting room.

TIACA members enjoy complimentary entry to the Executive Conference while the cost to non-members will be US$975.00. Full details of the venue and special accommodation rates will be published by the Association shortly.

The conference will look at a variety of topical issues, including growing competition between major aircraft manufacturers, the impact of volatile oil prices on the global economy and the air cargo industry and air cargo's role in the economic transformation of China.

Daniel Fernandez, Secretary General of TIACA, said, "Everyone is aware of the growing importance of China in the world economy and our Executive Conference and AGM provides a perfect opportunity early in the year for air cargo executives to combine our events with their own business development objectives with companies in China.

"TIACA's Executive Conference is now an important event in the industry calendar and gets bigger every year in terms of participants. Beijing will provide a fitting location for so many of our industry's leaders to gather."

Full details of the Executive Conference and AGM will be published on the TIACA website at www.tiaca.org http://www.tiaca.org/ . Visitors to the site can also find up-to-date information on the Association's Air Cargo Forum & Exposition in Calgary, Canada, taking place in September 2006.
