International Nameplate Dealers to Gather in San Francisco

Alexandria, VA  – The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) today announced that Bob Carter, Executive Vice President of Sales at Toyota Motor North America, will provide keynote remarks during the association's 49th Annual Meeting and Luncheon on January 27, 2019 in San Francisco. During the meeting, AIADA's dealer members and other industry leaders will unite to discuss how dealers can maintain their leadership in the U.S. auto industry. 

"Bob Carter understands our industry better than most and will provide his take on the challenges dealers face and what they must do in the years ahead to protect and build their businesses," said AIADA President and CEO Cody Lusk. "Dealers who attend will benefit from his experience and forward-thinking that is needed to move our industry ahead in the future." 

In his current role as Executive Vice President of Sales at Toyota Motor North America, Carter handles the sales, marketing, distribution, and customer service for the Toyota and Lexus brands in North America. He originally joined Toyota Motor Sales in 1981 as a warranty processor, and has held numerous positions over the years, including Vice President of Sales for Toyota and Lexus, as well as Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations.  

In addition to Carter's remarks, AIADA's 49th Annual Meeting and Luncheon will include the presentation of the 2019 David F. Mungenast Lifetime Achievement Award, and the passing of the Chairman's Gavel from 2018 Chairman, Brad Strong of Utah, to the 2019 Chairman, Howard Hakes of Southern California.
