Ruemlang/Zurich - The UK-based Trans Global Projects Group (TGP) has announced the acquisition of Germany’s Natco GmbH, effective 1 October 2018. The takeover of the Bremen-headquartered firm is being conducted via the TGP subsidiary Natco Holding AG, based in Switzerland. Christian Hager, Natco Germany Managing Director, will retain his current role and additionally assume leadership for TGP Germany in the future.
The Natco deal also establishes TGP as a majority stakeholder in the Brazilian transport company NPT Brasil Projetos & Transportes Internacionais LTDA (NPT), which has two hubs in the South American nation: Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro. Marco Bregoli will continue to serve as NPT’s Managing Director.
Following the launch of new subsidiaries in Turkey (Istanbul) and China (Dalian and Shanghai) earlier this year, the Natco Germany and NPT Brazil acquisitions represent the third network expansion for TGP in 2018. Whereas the Turkish and Chinese subsidiaries are operated under the Trans Global Projects name, both Natco GmbH in Germany and Natco AG in Switzerland will continue to operate under the Natco brand.
Joerg Roehl, CEO Europe Trans Global Projects and CEO Natco AG, says: “We’re pleased to be taking this next step in the expansion of our international network, especially in regards to strengthening our project management business in the key markets of Germany and Brazil.”
Roehl adds: “With the acquisition of Natco GmbH and NTP Brazil, we’re not only continuing with our growth strategy, but are also further enhancing our group portfolio with the addition of strong and competent partners. By concentrating and harnessing our competencies and expertise within the group, we will be able to provide our customers with an even wider range of services and products in the future. On behalf of all my colleagues, I am delighted to welcome Christian Hager, Managing Director for Natco Germany, and Marco Bregoli, Managing Director for NPT Brazil, and their teams into the TGP family.”
According to Hager: “As our industry and markets continue their constant evolution – especially in the area of project management – partner networks will only gain in importance. That’s why I believe the decision for Natco GmbH and NPT Brazil to join the Trans Global Projects Group will allow us to grow our business and be ideally prepared for future growth. Starting today, we are looking forward to working side by side with project logistics experts and joining forces between our networks – through this cooperation, we’ll be ideally set to take advantage of opportunities in the future.”
