WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United Fresh Produce Association has promoted Amanda Griffin to Vice President, Education & Program Management. Griffin joined the association in the fall of 2013 to support the organization’s meetings and member programs.
“Amanda has proved herself a dedicated leader, creative advocate for enhancing our programs, and committed organizer who sweats the small details while understanding the big picture,” said United Fresh President & CEO Tom Stenzel. “All of those positive attributes combine to position Amanda well for taking on even greater leadership of our programs throughout the year.”
In addition, Griffin serves as the staff liaison to the Produce Leadership Alumni Organization. This group offers program graduates opportunities to continue their leadership journeys and give back to the produce community. “I have been overwhelmed by Amanda’s tireless efforts on behalf of the Produce Industry Leadership Program and the industry at large. She is a shining example of the leadership our industry needs,” said Kristen Reid, Executive Vice President, MIXTEC Group and Chairperson of United Fresh’s Produce Leadership Alumni Organization. “I am happy to offer my congratulations on this well-earned career advancement.”
