Wallenius Wilhelmsen marks the official opening of its South Atlantic hub; the Brunswick terminal, EPC and VPC. “Brunswick, with its facilities and infrastructure investments, is well-positioned to accommodate further growth in the US,” says John Felitto, COO Logistics Services at Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
We are thrilled to announce the official opening of our Brunswick terminal, Equipment Processing Center (EPC) and Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
The grand opening marks another strategic investment for the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group as we sign a 20-year lease with the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), with options of up to 30 years.
With this investment, we are significantly enhancing our commitment to further serving the American market and expanding the scope of our South Atlantic operations.
“We are excited to enhance our services at Brunswick and to be even better equipped to expand the scope of our South Atlantic offerings,” he adds.
The facility and infrastructure investments will ensure that Wallenius Wilhelmsen can accommodate the increasing domestic and international volumes seamlessly in years to come.
"Our customers are living in an ever-changing environment. Especially now, it is changing very fast. Their situation and needs are going to change going forward, hence we need to be flexible on our side so we can develop our services to meet their needs. Brunswick is a purpose-built facility and completely modern which gives us that flexibility,” says Pia Synnerman Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
Operational efficiency and a smoother supply chain are ensured by using our services across the offerings at the terminal. Our trucking capabilities through our sister company KEEN, EPC, VPC, terminal services, and ocean services all enhance connectivity and showcase the strength of integrated services between ocean transport and land-based services.
We look forward to continuing our strategic partnership with the GPA as we further develop and future-proof the Brunswick terminal over the next 20 years.
“We are excited to partner with Wallenius Wilhelmsen and support their long-term growth ambitions here in the U.S. The Port of Brunswick’s size, scale and world-class facilities will position WW for success with new supply chain opportunities,” says Griff Lynch, President and CEO, Georgia Ports.
