Air cargo general sales agent Heavyweight Air Express has been appointed by Qantas Freight to undertake the sales and marketing of its cargo products in the greater Texas region. Included in this will be offering capacity on the recently announced Qantas B747 freighter operation between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) airport and Sydney Kingsford (SYD).
“This is a service that is clearly in need and whose time is now,” states Henry Miller, Director of Business Development for Heavyweight Air Express in the U.S. “It’s the right aircraft flying between the right airports and we applaud Qantas Freight for their vision and commitment.”
Scheduled to commence on August 6, this new entrant to the Texas cargo community will provide freight forwarders in the greater Dallas and Houston regions with a direct pipeline to the Australian and surrounding South Pacific markets.
Miller adds: “Airfreight trade between Texas and the Australia region is well established so a new operation like this is a powerful tool for our customers. We know from experience that both the general commodities agents and oil and gas specialists will definitely support this endeavor.”
