On 1 April 2022, Bolloré Logistics put into operation a new shuttle that uses B100 biofuel. This end-to- end solution, designed for all pre and post air shipments, functions 6 days a week ensuring a rotation between the Bolloré Logistics sites in Lyon and Roissy CDG. It is a part of Bolloré Logistics desire to decarbonise the solutions it proposes to its clients, whether by road, sea or air.

100% vegetable, renewable and completely traceable, the B100 biofuel is made exclusively from French rapeseed. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 60% and fine particles by 80%.

“We participate in several local collective actions to decarbonise transport, with the airport as well as with charities that are anchored in their territories. We want to be a driving force in favour of our clients using these new greener solutions,” said Géraldine Staron, Regional Manager Rhône-Alpes Est for Bolloré Logistics.

Additionally, Bolloré Logistics aims to increase by 15 to 20% its services on the modal transfer in the region by promoting the use of railways, in particular. The company has also launched a major study amongst CSR Managers and Supply Chain Managers, in cooperation with a group of students from EM Lyon, to raise awareness amongst the major shippers based in the region.

In the following weeks, Bolloré Logistics will continue to deploy and renew its fleet with four new trucks using B100. It aims to have 100% of its fleet using biofuels in the upcoming years. This initiative contributes to the company’s goal of reducing its CO2 emissions from transport services delivered to its customers by 30% by 2030, in line with its “Powering Sustainable Logistics” CSR programme launched in 2018.
