Capes Shipping Agencies, a Norfolk, VA based ship agency subsidiary of CV International, Inc., has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Ryan Ship Services, LLC, a Savannah, GA based independent ship agency and freight forwarder.
Ryan Ship Services was founded in 1999 by maritime industry veteran Drew Ryan with a principal office location in Savannah, GA. Gene Meredith later joined Drew as a partner and, working together, they grew Ryan Ship into a leading dry bulk agency in Georgia. Like Capes, Ryan Ship has been built on results-driven customer service and personalized attention to their principals around the world. Both Drew and Gene will be joining the Capes team in a new Capes branch office in Savannah and managing all operations. Capes will be expanding the Savannah team to support agency operations, documentation, and customs brokerage services.
